Responsibilities
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and move materials by hand or using forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
- Inventory Control: Receive, inspect, and verify incoming inventory against purchase orders to ensure accuracy.
- Stock Organization: Store and organize stock in designated areas to ensure efficient retrieval and safety.
- Safety Compliance: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by strictly adhering to OSHA safety protocols.
- Documentation: Update inventory records using warehouse management systems (WMS) and process shipping documents.
- Quality Assurance: Assist in inventory audits and cycle counting to prevent stock discrepancies.
- Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with team leads and other warehouse staff to meet daily production goals.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
- Experience: Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods.
- Skills: Basic math skills for inventory counting; ability to read and understand scanning equipment.
- Certification: Forklift certification is a plus but not required (training provided upon hire).
- Attributes: Strong attention to detail, reliability, and a proactive work ethic.
- Transportation: Reliable transportation to and from work.
