Responsibilities
- Loading & Unloading: Safely load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments using forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
- Inventory Management: Accurately pick, pack, and verify inventory using warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Material Organization: Maintain organized storage areas and ensure proper labeling of all stock.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and company policies to ensure a safe working environment.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance of material handling equipment.
- Team Collaboration: Work effectively with cross-functional teams to meet daily production targets.
Qualifications
- Experience: Previous experience in warehousing, logistics, or a similar role is preferred.
- Physical Demands: Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly for extended periods.
- Equipment Operation: Forklift certification (or willingness to obtain) is a plus.
- Documentation: Basic computer skills and ability to read and understand shipping documents.
- Reliability: A strong track record of punctuality and attendance.
- Background Check: Must pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
