Responsibilities
- Load and Unload Freight: Safely and efficiently load and unload shipments using forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
- Inventory Management: Perform daily inventory counts, cycle counts, and stock organization to ensure accuracy.
- Material Handling: Retrieve and stage materials based on production orders or shipping requirements.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine pre-shift inspections on forklifts and warehouse equipment, reporting any issues immediately.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety guidelines and company policies to maintain a hazard-free work environment.
- Documentation: Accurately complete daily paperwork, including packing slips and delivery logs.
- Warehouse Organization: Keep storage areas clean, organized, and orderly to optimize workflow efficiency.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
- Experience: Previous experience in warehousing, logistics, or a similar role is a plus but not required.
- Certifications: Valid forklift certification (reach truck, cherry picker) is highly desirable.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand/walk for extended periods.
- Skills: Basic computer literacy and attention to detail.
- Availability: Must be available to work full-time hours, including weekends and overtime as needed.
