Responsibilities
- Load and Unload Freight: Safely and efficiently load and unload trucks using forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
- Inventory Management: Verify incoming and outgoing shipments against bills of lading and maintain accurate inventory records using our WMS.
- Warehouse Organization: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by stacking and storing materials according to safety regulations.
- Order Fulfillment: Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment with speed and precision to meet delivery deadlines.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance on material handling equipment.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety guidelines and company protocols to prevent accidents and ensure a secure workspace.
- Documentation: Complete necessary paperwork accurately, including shipping labels and daily logs.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a warehouse or logistics environment is preferred.
- Licensure: Valid forklift certification (Counterbalance or Reach) is highly desired.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly, stand for extended periods, and navigate various terrains within the warehouse.
- Attention to Detail: Strong ability to follow instructions and maintain accuracy in data entry and inventory counts.
- Equipment Proficiency: Familiarity with handheld scanners and warehouse management software (WMS) is a plus.
- Communication: Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
