Responsibilities
- Load and Unload Freight: Safely load and unload trucks and trailers using appropriate equipment, ensuring product integrity.
- Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels, pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipping with precision.
- Equipment Operation: Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse machinery (training provided if needed).
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety standards and warehouse protocols to maintain a hazard-free environment.
- Quality Control: Inspect products for damage and ensure correct labeling before moving to storage or shipping areas.
- Maintain Organization: Keep storage areas clean, organized, and accessible for efficient workflow.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Experience: Previous warehouse or logistics experience is a plus but not always required; on-the-job training is available.
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for long periods in various weather conditions.
- License: Valid driver's license required; forklift certification is a plus.
- Reliability: Must pass a background check and drug screen.
- Communication: Basic reading and writing skills to follow safety labels and shipping documents.
