Responsibilities
- Load and Unload Freight: Safely and efficiently load and unload trucks and shipping containers using proper material handling equipment.
- Inventory Management: Conduct accurate inventory counts and maintain accurate records of stock levels and locations.
- Equipment Operation: Operate powered industrial trucks (forklifts), pallet jacks, and conveyors following all safety protocols.
- Warehouse Organization: Keep the warehouse floor organized, clean, and free of hazards to ensure a safe working environment.
- Packaging: Properly package and label products for shipment to prevent damage during transit.
- Quality Control: Inspect incoming and outgoing shipments for damage or discrepancies and report issues immediately.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Experience: Previous experience in warehouse operations or material handling is preferred but not mandatory (we provide training).
- Certifications: Forklift certification is a plus but not required if you are willing to train.
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly, stand for extended periods, and work in varying temperatures.
- Skills: Strong attention to detail, basic math skills, and the ability to work well within a team.
- Availability: Must be available to work full-time hours, including weekends and overtime as needed.
