Responsibilities
- Inventory Management: Receive, inspect, and stock incoming merchandise to ensure accurate record-keeping and organization.
- Equipment Operation: Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse machinery to move materials.
- Packing & Shipping: Prepare pallets and packages for shipment, verifying labels and documentation for accuracy.
- Warehouse Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by following all safety protocols and OSHA guidelines.
- Load/Unload Operations: Assist in the loading and unloading of freight trucks using proper lifting techniques and equipment.
- Data Entry: Update inventory systems and perform cycle counts to identify and resolve discrepancies.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Experience: Previous experience in warehousing, logistics, or material handling is preferred.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs frequently and stand for extended periods in a warehouse setting.
- Skills: Strong attention to detail and excellent time management skills.
- Certification: Valid forklift certification (Class A or B) is highly desirable.
- Technical: Basic computer literacy and familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) is a plus.
