Responsibilities
- Load and Unload: Safely load and unload trucks and conveyances using appropriate equipment (pallet jacks, forklifts) to ensure product integrity.
- Inventory Management: Accurately receive, inspect, and stock merchandise in the warehouse system to maintain accurate inventory levels.
- Order Fulfillment: Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders for shipment, ensuring all items are correct and packaged securely.
- Stock Organization: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by adhering to 5S standards and safety protocols.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine checks on material handling equipment and report any malfunctions or maintenance needs immediately.
- Quality Control: Inspect goods for damage or defects before storing or shipping to prevent returns and customer dissatisfaction.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED preferred; equivalent experience considered.
- Experience: Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or manufacturing environment is highly desirable.
- Licensure: Forklift certification (or willingness to obtain) is a major plus.
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly, stand for extended periods, and perform physical tasks in a fast-paced setting.
- Skills: Basic computer literacy and experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus.
- Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail, ability to work independently or as part of a team, and a commitment to workplace safety.
