Responsibilities
- Material Handling: Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks to load, unload, and move materials within the warehouse.
- Inventory Management: Assist in receiving, counting, and verifying incoming stock, and updating inventory records accurately using scanning equipment.
- Order Fulfillment: Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders for shipment, ensuring all items are correctly labeled and ready for dispatch.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and OSHA regulations to maintain a safe work environment for yourself and your team.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform basic maintenance checks on warehouse equipment and report any issues immediately.
- Housekeeping: Keep the warehouse organized, clean, and clutter-free to ensure efficient workflow.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
- Experience: Previous experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, or logistics setting is a plus but not strictly required for entry-level candidates.
- Skills: Ability to operate forklifts (certification is a plus).
- Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly, stand for extended periods, and work in various weather conditions.
- Attention to Detail: Strong ability to verify counts and ensure accuracy in order fulfillment.
- Communication: Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and team members.
