Responsibilities
- Material Movement: Safely load, unload, and move materials using forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
- Inventory Management: Verify and record incoming and outgoing shipments, maintaining accurate stock levels and inventory records.
- Picking & Packing: Efficiently pick and pack orders according to customer specifications and quality standards.
- Warehouse Maintenance: Keep the warehouse organized, clean, and safe by adhering to all safety protocols and housekeeping standards.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine checks on material handling equipment to ensure proper working order and report any issues.
- Order Fulfillment: Assist in the processing of orders, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of goods to the shipping dock.
Qualifications
- Experience: Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or manufacturing environment is preferred but not required for the right candidate.
- License: Valid forklift certification (Class A or B) is a major plus.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly, and perform heavy physical labor in varying temperatures.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy when handling inventory and data entry.
- Communication: Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and team members.
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
