Responsibilities
- Operate Material Handling Equipment: Safely and efficiently drive and operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and order pickers to move materials throughout the facility.
- Load and Unload Freight: Load and unload inbound and outbound trucks using proper rigging techniques to ensure product safety.
- Inventory Control: Assist in the receiving, checking, and stocking of inventory to maintain accurate stock levels and organization.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to all OSHA safety regulations, company policies, and equipment safety protocols at all times.
- Facility Maintenance: Keep the warehouse floor organized, clean, and free of hazards to ensure a safe working environment.
- Documentation: Complete daily shift logs, safety checklists, and inventory reports with high accuracy.
Qualifications
- Certification: Valid and current forklift operator certification (OSHA compliant) is mandatory.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience operating heavy machinery in a warehouse or distribution center setting.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly, and navigate steep ramps or catwalks.
- Availability: Must be available to work rotating night shifts (e.g., 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM).
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy when counting inventory and handling merchandise.
- Communication: Ability to communicate effectively with shift supervisors and team members.
