Responsibilities
- Operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts to load, unload, and move materials throughout the warehouse safely and efficiently.
- Conduct daily pre-shift equipment inspections and routine maintenance checks to ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety standards.
- Maintain accurate inventory records using barcode scanners and warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Organize stockpiles and pallets to ensure optimal workflow and minimize retrieval time.
- Adhere to all safety protocols, including proper lifting techniques and wearing required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Assist in general warehouse duties during peak times, including shrink-wrapping and labeling.
Qualifications
- Certification: Valid and current Forklift Operator Certification (OSHA compliant).
- Experience: Minimum 1-2 years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or logistics environment.
- Availability: Must be available to work rotating night shifts (e.g., 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM or 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM).
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and navigate uneven terrain.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on safety and accuracy in inventory management.
- Communication: Basic computer skills and ability to communicate effectively with team leads.
