Responsibilities
- Safely operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts to load, unload, and stage freight according to safety protocols.
- Perform daily pre-shift equipment inspections and document any maintenance needs.
- Maintain accurate inventory counts and ensure proper stock rotation (FIFO).
- Adhere to OSHA safety guidelines and company policies to minimize workplace accidents.
- Keep the work area organized and free of debris to ensure a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with shift supervisors to meet daily throughput targets and deadlines.
- Assist in the packaging and labeling of products for outbound shipment.
Qualifications
- Current and valid forklift operator certification (OSHA compliant).
- Minimum of 1 year of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution setting.
- Ability to work rotating night shifts (typically 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM).
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and maneuvering in tight spaces.
- Strong focus on safety and compliance with all safety regulations.
- Basic computer skills for scanning barcodes and logging data.
