Responsibilities
- Safely operate forklifts (sit-down and reach trucks) to move, load, and unload materials in a fast-paced warehouse environment
- Perform daily forklift inspections and maintenance checks to ensure optimal performance and compliance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prioritize inventory movement and meet daily production targets
- Maintain accurate inventory records using warehouse management systems (WMS)
- Adhere to OSHA safety protocols and company policies at all times
- Assist in warehouse organization and efficient space utilization
- Train and mentor new team members on forklift operations and safety procedures
Qualifications
- Valid forklift certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire)
- Minimum 1 year of experience operating sit-down and reach-type forklifts
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety regulations and material handling best practices
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and stand/walk for extended periods
- Basic computer literacy and familiarity with inventory tracking systems
- Reliable transportation and punctual attendance record
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a high-pressure environment
