This is an immediate start position for a skilled operator who thrives in a fast-paced environment. You will play a crucial role in inventory management and material handling, ensuring our distribution centers run at peak efficiency while maintaining the highest safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Operational Efficiency: Safely operate powered industrial trucks (Forklifts) and pallet jacks to load, unload, and move materials within the facility.
- Inventory Control: Accurately count, sort, and place stock items in designated bins, racks, and shelves to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and company protocols to maintain a hazard-free work environment at all times.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform daily pre-shift inspections on forklifts to ensure machinery is in proper working order and report any issues immediately.
- Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with the day shift team and supervisors to ensure a smooth transition of inventory.
Qualifications
- Certification: Valid forklift operator certification (OSHA compliant) is required; training provided for the right candidates.
- Experience: Previous experience in warehousing, logistics, or material handling is preferred.
- Availability: Must be available to work rotating night shifts (10:00 PM - 7:00 AM).
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and navigate industrial environments.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy and safety protocols.
