Responsibilities
- Pack Orders: Accurately and efficiently pack products into boxes, ensuring proper padding and labeling for safe transport.
- Verify Inventory: Cross-check packing lists against physical inventory to ensure order accuracy and minimize errors.
- Material Handling: Operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and hand trucks to move stock within the warehouse.
- Quality Control: Inspect products for damage before packing and report any discrepancies immediately to the shift supervisor.
- Maintain Safety Standards: Adhere to all OSHA safety guidelines, keep work areas clean, and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Stock Organization: Assist in maintaining an organized warehouse layout to facilitate efficient picking and packing processes.
Qualifications
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods in a warehouse environment.
- Basic Math Skills: Comfort with basic arithmetic to calculate weights and ensure correct shipping documentation.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy to ensure orders are processed correctly the first time.
- Reliability: A track record of punctuality and consistent attendance.
- Communication: Ability to communicate clearly with team members and supervisors.
- High School Diploma: General education or equivalent preferred.
