Responsibilities
- Operate Material Handling Equipment: Safely and efficiently use forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks to move stock within the warehouse.
- Inventory Management: Perform accurate cycle counts, stock receiving, and put-away tasks to maintain inventory accuracy.
- Picking & Packing: Select and prepare orders according to pick tickets, ensuring proper temperature control and product integrity during transit.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to all safety protocols, including OSHA guidelines and temperature logging procedures.
- Load & Unload Operations: Efficiently manage inbound and outbound shipping lanes, ensuring timely processing of freight.
- Environmental Maintenance: Assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work area within the cold storage zones.
Qualifications
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and work in extreme cold environments (temperatures may drop below 10°F).
- Reliability: A strong track record of punctuality and attendance is required.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to follow instructions precisely and maintain high standards of accuracy.
- Communication Skills: Basic verbal communication skills and the ability to understand written pick lists.
- Experience: Previous warehouse or cold storage experience is preferred but not mandatory.
- Certifications: Valid forklift certification is a plus but we provide training.
