Responsibilities
- Maintain optimal temperature and humidity levels in refrigerated/freezer storage areas
- Load/unload temperature-controlled trucks using pallet jacks and forklifts
- Conduct inventory audits and organize stock rotation using FIFO methods
- Perform daily safety inspections of equipment and storage facilities
- Adhere to HACCP protocols and sanitation standards for food-grade environments
- Operate warehouse management systems for inventory tracking
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow during peak hours
Qualifications
- Previous cold storage or warehouse experience preferred
- Ability to work in sub-zero temperatures for extended periods
- Forklift certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Basic knowledge of inventory management systems
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly and stand for 6+ hours
- Strong attention to detail and safety compliance
- Flexible availability including nights/weekends
