Responsibilities
- Operate Material Handling Equipment: Safely and efficiently drive forklifts, pallet jacks, and order pickers to transport materials throughout the facility.
- Load and Unload: Perform loading and unloading of freight trucks, ensuring accuracy and preventing damage to goods.
- Inventory Management: Assist with cycle counts, stock picking, and maintaining accurate inventory records within the WMS system.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to OSHA safety regulations and company protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
- Equipment Maintenance: Conduct daily pre-shift inspections of forklifts and report any maintenance issues immediately.
- Organization: Keep the warehouse floor organized and free of hazards to ensure smooth workflow operations.
Qualifications
- Certification: Must possess a valid and current Forklift Operator Certification (OSHA compliant).
- Experience: Previous experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or logistics setting is preferred.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand/walk for extended periods in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy when handling inventory and performing quality checks.
- Availability: Must be available for part-time shifts, including weekends or nights if required.
- Valid Driver's License: A valid driver's license is required.
