Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and material handling equipment to load, unload, and transport materials within the warehouse and dock areas.
- Perform routine pre-shift safety inspections and maintenance checks on all forklifts and equipment.
- Verify inventory accuracy by counting stock and tagging items correctly.
- Ensure strict adherence to all OSHA safety regulations, including wearing required PPE and following safe driving protocols.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including sweeping and organizing the dock.
- Collaborate with team leads to manage workflow and meet daily shipping targets.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards immediately to management.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Forklift Operator Certification (OSHA compliant).
- Previous experience operating heavy machinery in a warehouse or distribution center is highly preferred.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 pounds repeatedly and standing for extended periods.
- Strong understanding of inventory management and safety procedures.
- Excellent attention to detail and time management skills.
- Must be available for immediate start.
