Responsibilities
- Load, unload, and move materials: Safely operate equipment to load and unload trucks and move stock within the facility.
- Inventory Management: Conduct regular counts and maintain accurate stock records using warehouse management systems.
- Equipment Operation: Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Quality Control: Inspect incoming and outgoing shipments for damage and ensure proper packaging.
- Warehouse Organization: Keep storage areas clean, organized, and compliant with safety regulations.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate logs of shipments and inventory transfers.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED: Required; equivalent work experience considered.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift heavy items (up to 50 lbs), and perform manual labor.
- Forklift Certification: Preferred, but on-the-job training available for qualified candidates.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy in counting and recording inventory.
- Reliability: Must be punctual and able to work a set part-time schedule.
- Basic Computer Skills: Comfortable using handheld scanners or basic computer systems.
