Responsibilities
- Operational Oversight: Monitor daily warehouse activities to ensure orders are picked, packed, and shipped accurately and on time.
- Team Leadership: Supervise, train, and motivate a team of warehouse associates to maintain high productivity and morale.
- Safety Compliance: Enforce strict safety protocols and OSHA regulations to ensure a hazard-free working environment for all employees.
- Inventory Control: Conduct regular stock counts and manage inventory levels to prevent shortages or overstock situations.
- Equipment Management: Inspect and maintain forklifts and other warehouse machinery to ensure they are in safe working order.
- Process Improvement: Identify bottlenecks in workflow and implement solutions to optimize operational efficiency.
- Reporting: Prepare daily reports on operational performance and submit them to the General Manager.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in warehouse management or logistics supervision.
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Supply Chain or Business preferred.
- Leadership: Proven ability to lead teams effectively and handle conflict resolution.
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly, stand for extended periods, and work in various weather conditions.
- Certifications: Valid forklift certification and OSHA 10 training is a plus.
- Skills: Proficiency in warehouse management software (WMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
