Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning applications
- Develop error correction protocols to advance quantum coherence beyond current limitations
- Lead experimental validation of quantum hardware prototypes in cryogenic environments
- Publish peer-reviewed research and present findings at international quantum computing conferences
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate quantum solutions with classical computing systems
- Secure external research funding through NSF and DARPA grant proposals
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years quantum research experience
- Expertise in quantum circuit design and quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit)
- Published work in top-tier quantum computing journals (Nature Quantum, PRL Quantum)
- Proficiency with quantum simulation tools (Quil, Cirq) and cloud quantum platforms
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction codes and fault-tolerant architectures
- Strong analytical skills for interpreting complex quantum system behaviors
- Experience with high-performance computing and parallel processing frameworks
