Responsibilities
- Safely operate forklifts and material handling equipment in high-volume warehouse settings
- Manage inventory control systems with 99.9% accuracy standards
- Coordinate cross-functional logistics operations with shipping/receiving teams
- Implement lean manufacturing principles to optimize workflow efficiency
- Train junior staff on safety protocols and equipment operation
- Maintain detailed documentation of material movements and inventory counts
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience in industrial material handling
- OSHA-certified forklift operator license required
- Proficiency in WMS software (SAP, Oracle, or equivalent)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and work in varying temperatures
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Valid Michigan driver's license preferred
- Experience with hazardous material handling a plus
