Responsibilities
- Safely operate forklifts and material handling equipment to move high-value inventory
- Implement FIFO/FEFO inventory management systems with 99.9% accuracy
- Coordinate with production teams to optimize material flow and minimize downtime
- Conduct daily equipment inspections and report maintenance needs
- Maintain detailed electronic records of inventory movements
- Train junior staff on safety protocols and operational procedures
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives for warehouse efficiency
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years experience in high-volume material handling operations
- OSHA-certified forklift operator with valid certifications
- Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and RF scanners
- Demonstrated ability to lift 50+ lbs repeatedly with proper techniques
- Strong attention to detail with inventory accuracy focus
- Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays
- OSHA 10-hour certification preferred
- Experience with hazardous material handling a plus
