Responsibilities
- Coordinate and schedule domestic and international shipments to ensure timely delivery.
- Prepare and review shipping documentation, including bills of lading, commercial invoices, and packing lists.
- Communicate effectively with carriers, vendors, and internal stakeholders to resolve shipping discrepancies.
- Monitor shipping costs and negotiate rates with carriers to ensure cost-effective logistics solutions.
- Track inventory levels and manage stock transfers to prevent shipping delays.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal shipping regulations and safety standards.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of professional experience in logistics, shipping coordination, or supply chain management.
- Strong knowledge of freight forwarding processes, Incoterms, and shipping regulations.
- Proficiency in logistics software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Manhattan) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to negotiate effectively.
- High attention to detail with strong problem-solving and organizational abilities.
- Valid driver's license and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
