Responsibilities
- Coordinate domestic and international shipments across air, sea, and ground freight
- Manage documentation compliance (customs, bills of lading, certificates of origin)
- Optimize routing and carrier selection to minimize transit costs
- Track shipments in real-time using TMS platforms and provide proactive updates
- Resolve logistics disruptions and maintain contingency protocols
- Collaborate with warehouse, sales, and procurement teams
- Analyze shipping metrics to identify cost-saving opportunities
Qualifications
- 3+ years in shipping/logistics coordination role
- Expert knowledge of INCOTERMS and customs regulations
- Proficiency in TMS software (e.g., Descartes, Oracle)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain or related field preferred
- FMCSA hazmat certification a plus
- Ability to work flexible hours during peak seasons
