Responsibilities
- Coordinate domestic and international shipments across multiple carriers (UPS, FedEx, DHL, LTL)
- Manage inventory documentation, including bills of lading and commercial invoices
- Optimize routing and freight costs using TMS software (SAP experience preferred)
- Resolve shipping discrepancies and track shipments in real-time
- Collaborate with warehouse team on packing protocols and pallet configurations
- Maintain compliance with customs regulations and hazardous materials handling
- Analyze shipping metrics to identify cost-saving opportunities
- Train junior staff on shipping procedures and software systems
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in shipping/logistics coordination
- Proficiency with WMS/TMS systems (Oracle/JDA a plus)
- Certified Customs Broker or equivalent international trade certification
- Advanced Excel skills with VLOOKUP and pivot table expertise
- OSHA Hazmat certification or willingness to obtain
- Strong problem-solving abilities with attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work flexible hours during peak shipping seasons
