Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily domestic and international shipments across multiple transportation modes (LTL, FTL, rail, air)
- Manage carrier relationships and negotiate freight rates while ensuring service level compliance
- Generate and maintain critical shipping documentation (BOLs, customs forms, manifests)
- Monitor shipment tracking proactively and resolve transit exceptions within SLA timeframes
- Collaborate with warehouse teams to optimize dock scheduling and load efficiency
- Analyze shipping data to identify cost-saving opportunities and process improvements
- Act as primary point of contact for clients regarding shipment status and inquiries
Qualifications
- 3+ years of proven experience in freight coordination or logistics operations
- Proficiency in logistics software (e.g., TMS, SAP, or similar platforms)
- Strong knowledge of Incoterms, hazardous materials regulations, and customs procedures
- Exceptional problem-solving skills with ability to resolve multi-carrier transit issues
- Detail-oriented mindset with precise documentation and data management abilities
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating across diverse stakeholder groups
- High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor's degree in Supply Chain preferred
