Responsibilities
- Coordinate domestic and international shipping activities using TMS and WMS systems
- Optimize freight routes and negotiate carrier contracts for cost efficiency
- Track shipments in real-time and proactively resolve delivery exceptions
- Prepare customs documentation and ensure compliance with DOT/FMCSA regulations
- Collaborate with warehouse teams to maintain inventory accuracy
- Analyze shipping data to identify cost-saving opportunities
- Manage customer communications regarding shipment status and delays
Qualifications
- 3+ years experience in shipping/logistics coordination
- Proficiency with TMS software (e.g., Oracle, SAP) and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong knowledge of domestic/international shipping regulations (DOT, IATA, customs)
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines
- Forklift certification or willingness to obtain
- Associates degree in Supply Chain or related field preferred
