Responsibilities
- Coordinate and track inbound and outbound shipments to ensure timely delivery and compliance with deadlines.
- Prepare and verify accurate shipping documentation, including Bills of Lading, commercial invoices, and customs paperwork.
- Communicate effectively with carriers, freight forwarders, and internal warehouse teams to resolve shipping discrepancies.
- Monitor shipping costs and negotiate rates with third-party logistics providers to optimize budget.
- Maintain detailed records of all shipping activities using ERP and TMS software.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal shipping regulations and safety standards.
- Assist in the development of logistics strategies to improve supply chain efficiency.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in shipping, logistics, or supply chain coordination.
- Proficiency in transportation management systems (TMS) and warehouse management software (WMS).
- Strong understanding of international and domestic shipping regulations, Incoterms, and customs procedures.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Business preferred.
