Responsibilities
- Coordinate and schedule domestic and international freight shipments, ensuring timely delivery and compliance with regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of shipping documentation, including bills of lading, invoices, and customs forms.
- Communicate effectively with carriers, vendors, and internal stakeholders to resolve shipping discrepancies and delays.
- Analyze shipping data and trends to identify cost-saving opportunities and process improvements.
- Prepare and process shipping labels, packaging materials, and inventory counts.
- Ensure adherence to all safety protocols and regulatory standards within the shipping department.
- Collaborate with the warehouse team to streamline the packing and loading process.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in logistics, shipping, or supply chain coordination.
- Proficiency in freight software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or TMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a busy setting.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree in Logistics preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods as required.
