Responsibilities
- Coordinate and schedule domestic and international freight shipments using various carriers (LTL, FTL, Air, Ocean).
- Prepare and review accurate shipping documentation, including bills of lading, commercial invoices, and certificates of origin.
- Track shipments in real-time to ensure on-time delivery and proactively resolve any logistics bottlenecks.
- Communicate effectively with vendors, customs brokers, and internal teams to ensure alignment.
- Manage inventory levels related to outgoing shipments and optimize warehouse space utilization.
- Ensure strict compliance with all local, state, and federal shipping regulations and safety standards.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2-3 years of verifiable experience in logistics, supply chain, or freight forwarding.
- Strong working knowledge of Incoterms (FOB, CIF, DDP) and import/export regulations.
- Proficiency in transportation management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure and tight deadlines.
- Valid forklift certification is a plus.
- Associate degree or certificate in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
