As a Shipping Coordinator, you will play a critical role in maintaining our reputation for reliability and efficiency in the supply chain industry.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and schedule domestic and international freight shipments, ensuring on-time delivery and compliance with regulations.
- Prepare and process accurate shipping documentation, including bills of lading, commercial invoices, and packing lists.
- Monitor shipment status via tracking systems and proactively resolve any delays, damages, or discrepancies.
- Communicate effectively with carriers, vendors, and internal departments to ensure seamless logistics operations.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of shipping activities and inventory movements in our database.
- Assist in the optimization of shipping routes and carrier selection to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a shipping, logistics, or warehouse coordination role.
- Proficiency in logistics software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Manhattan Associates) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a focus on customer service.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and stand for extended periods in a warehouse setting.
