Responsibilities
- Order Fulfillment: Process and verify shipping orders, ensuring all documentation (BOL, COA, labels) is accurate and compliant with regulations.
- Carrier Management: Liaise with freight forwarders, trucking companies, and courier services to schedule pickups and negotiate rates where necessary.
- Inventory Control: Monitor stock levels, conduct cycle counts, and manage warehouse transfers to prevent shipping delays.
- Problem Resolution: Investigate and resolve shipping discrepancies, damages, or delays immediately to minimize downtime.
- Data Management: Maintain and update logistics software (e.g., Oracle NetSuite, SAP, or Excel) with real-time tracking information.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to all DOT, OSHA, and company safety protocols during loading and unloading operations.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of proven experience in a shipping, logistics, or supply chain coordination role.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with ERP systems (Oracle, SAP) and Microsoft Office Suite (Advanced Excel required).
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with vendors and internal teams effectively.
- Attention to Detail: Strong ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining high accuracy in data entry and documentation.
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods in a warehouse or office setting.
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Supply Chain or Logistics preferred.
