Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and schedule shipments, including ocean freight, air freight, and trucking, ensuring timely delivery and cost efficiency.
- Prepare and verify shipping documentation, including Bills of Lading (BOL), commercial invoices, and certificates of origin.
- Track cargo movement in real-time, communicating status updates to internal teams and clients.
- Negotiate rates with carriers and service providers to optimize supply chain costs.
- Resolve shipping discrepancies, delays, and customs clearance issues promptly.
- Maintain accurate records of all shipments and inventory movements in our ERP system.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Business preferred.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in shipping, logistics, or freight forwarding.
- Strong knowledge of Incoterms, import/export regulations, and customs procedures.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel is essential) and logistics software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a focus on customer service.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
