Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily shipping activities including order processing, carrier selection, and documentation preparation
- Track shipments in real-time using TMS platforms and provide proactive updates to stakeholders
- Optimize transportation routes to minimize costs while maintaining on-time delivery rates
- Resolve shipping discrepancies and exceptions through carrier communication and problem-solving
- Ensure compliance with DOT regulations, customs requirements, and company policies
- Collaborate with warehouse teams to synchronize inventory levels with shipping schedules
- Analyze shipping data to identify cost-saving opportunities and process improvements
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in logistics, supply chain, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of experience in shipping coordination or warehouse operations
- Proficiency with TMS software (e.g., Blue Yonder, Descartes) and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong knowledge of LTL, FTL, and parcel shipping processes
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Forklift certification and OSHA safety training preferred
