In this role, you will act as the primary point of contact for logistics partners, managing the end-to-end shipping process with precision and care.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and schedule domestic and international freight shipments, ensuring timely delivery.
- Prepare and verify all shipping documentation, including bills of lading, commercial invoices, and customs forms.
- Communicate effectively with carriers, trucking companies, and internal departments to resolve delivery issues and discrepancies.
- Monitor shipping costs and negotiate rates with carriers to ensure cost-effectiveness.
- Maintain accurate records of all shipments, inventory levels, and delivery statuses in the company ERP system.
- Assist in the reconciliation of inbound and outbound logistics data.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal shipping regulations.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Business preferred.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in shipping, logistics, or a related warehouse role.
- Proficiency in logistics software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Manhattan, or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
