Responsibilities
- Manage Shipping Operations: Oversee the end-to-end shipping process, including coordinating with carriers, scheduling pickups, and preparing necessary documentation.
- Track Shipments: Monitor incoming and outgoing freight to ensure accurate tracking and timely delivery using TMS software.
- Inventory Control: Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records by reconciling shipping logs with stock levels.
- Vendor Liaison: Communicate effectively with third-party logistics providers and internal departments to resolve shipping discrepancies.
- Compliance: Ensure all shipping activities comply with company policies, safety regulations, and legal requirements.
Qualifications
- Experience: 1-3 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or a related field is preferred.
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Logistics or Business is a plus.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook) and experience with transportation management systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, or similar) is highly desirable.
- Organization: Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with drivers, vendors, and team members.
