Responsibilities
- Coordinate end-to-end shipping processes including carrier selection, route optimization, and freight consolidation
- Manage documentation (BOLs, customs forms, commercial invoices) ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance
- Track shipments in real-time using TMS platforms and provide proactive status updates to stakeholders
- Resolve shipping discrepancies and exceptions through carrier negotiations and alternative routing
- Analyze shipping performance metrics to identify cost-saving opportunities and process improvements
- Collaborate with warehouse and procurement teams to align inventory movements with shipping schedules
- Maintain relationships with freight carriers and negotiate favorable rates and service agreements
Qualifications
- 3+ years experience in freight forwarding or supply chain coordination
- Proficiency with TMS software (e.g., Oracle Transportation, Blue Yonder) and MS Office Suite
- Certification in logistics (CSCP, CTL, or CILT) preferred
- Strong understanding of Incoterms, customs regulations, and hazardous materials handling
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities with attention to detail in documentation
- Effective communication skills for coordinating with international partners
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field
