Responsibilities
- Coordinate domestic and international shipments across multiple carriers and modes (air, ocean, ground)
- Manage documentation (BOLs, commercial invoices, customs forms) ensuring compliance with DOT/FMCSA regulations
- Optimize routing and freight costs while maintaining on-time delivery performance
- Track shipments proactively and resolve transit delays through carrier communications
- Collaborate with warehouse, sales, and customs teams for seamless order fulfillment
- Maintain accurate shipment data in ERP/WMS systems and generate performance reports
Qualifications
- 3+ years of direct shipping coordination experience in logistics/transportation
- Proficiency in TMS/ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar preferred)
- Strong knowledge of Incoterms, customs regulations, and hazardous materials handling
- Exceptional problem-solving skills with ability to troubleshoot shipment exceptions
- Advanced Excel skills for data analysis and reporting
- OSHA Hazmat certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
- High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor's degree in supply chain preferred
