Responsibilities
- Coordinate and schedule domestic and international freight shipments, ensuring timely delivery.
- Prepare and process shipping documentation, including bills of lading, commercial invoices, and packing lists.
- Liaise with carriers, trucking companies, and third-party logistics providers to negotiate rates and track cargo status.
- Resolve shipping discrepancies, freight claims, and logistical issues efficiently.
- Maintain accurate records of all shipping activities and inventory movements within the warehouse management system.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal shipping regulations.
- Collaborate with the warehouse and sales teams to forecast shipping needs and optimize routes.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate degree in Logistics or Supply Chain is a plus.
- Previous experience in shipping, logistics, or a related field (1-3 years preferred).
- Proficiency in logistics software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar).
- Strong knowledge of transportation modes, freight classifications, and Incoterms.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a professional demeanor.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite and data entry.
