Responsibilities
- Coordinate and track incoming and outgoing freight to ensure timely delivery and accurate handling.
- Prepare and process shipping documentation, including bills of lading, commercial invoices, and customs forms.
- Communicate effectively with carriers, warehouse staff, and clients to resolve shipment issues and provide status updates.
- Manage inventory levels and ensure accurate stock records within the warehouse management system.
- Analyze shipping data to identify trends and recommend improvements for process optimization.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal shipping regulations and safety standards.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in shipping, logistics, or supply chain coordination.
- Proficiency in logistics software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel advanced functions required).
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to multitask in a high-pressure environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
