Responsibilities
- Prepare and process domestic and international shipping documentation, including bills of lading, commercial invoices, and packing lists, ensuring compliance with all regulations.
- Coordinate and track all inbound and outbound shipments to guarantee timely delivery and optimal inventory levels.
- Communicate effectively with carriers, warehouse staff, and clients to resolve shipping discrepancies and logistical challenges promptly.
- Monitor shipping costs and negotiate rates with carriers to ensure budget adherence and cost savings.
- Maintain accurate records of shipping activities, logs, and inventory movements in the company ERP system.
- Perform quality control checks on packages to ensure they meet safety standards and are correctly labeled.
- Assist in the development and implementation of shipping procedures to improve efficiency and reduce errors.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in shipping, logistics, or supply chain coordination.
- Strong working knowledge of freight forwarding processes, Incoterms, and DOT regulations.
- Proficiency in logistics software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Manhattan) and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks under tight deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field is a plus.
