Responsibilities
- Coordinate and schedule inbound and outbound freight shipments using transportation management systems (TMS).
- Prepare, verify, and process shipping documentation, including bills of lading, commercial invoices, and customs paperwork.
- Communicate with carriers, drivers, and internal teams to resolve shipping discrepancies and delays.
- Analyze shipping costs and carrier performance to optimize logistics budgets and routes.
- Track shipment status in real-time and provide accurate updates to stakeholders.
- Maintain organized records of shipping logs, inventory movements, and compliance documentation.
- Assist in the development of logistics processes to improve overall operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in logistics, shipping coordination, or supply chain management.
- Strong knowledge of freight forwarding terminology, DOT regulations, and shipping laws.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook) and logistics software.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a high-pressure environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
