Responsibilities
- Coordinate Shipping Operations: Oversee the end-to-end shipping process, including scheduling pickups, coordinating freight carriers, and managing delivery schedules to ensure 100% on-time delivery.
- Documentation Management: Prepare and maintain accurate shipping documentation, including Bills of Lading (BOL), commercial invoices, and packing lists in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Vendor & Carrier Relations: Negotiate rates with 3PL providers and freight forwarders, while maintaining strong relationships to resolve shipping discrepancies and optimize costs.
- Inventory Control: Monitor stock levels, track shipments in transit, and perform cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy and prevent stockouts.
- Problem Resolution: Investigate and resolve shipping delays, damaged goods claims, and logistical bottlenecks efficiently to minimize impact on operations.
- Data Analysis: Utilize logistics software to analyze shipping data, generate reports, and identify trends for continuous process improvement.
Qualifications
- Experience: 2-5 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or freight forwarding. Experience with import/export regulations is a plus.
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Business, Logistics, or Supply Chain Management preferred.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in logistics management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Manhattan Associates) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with carriers, warehouse staff, and internal stakeholders.
- Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and adhere to strict deadlines.
- Problem Solving: Proactive approach to identifying potential issues and implementing effective solutions in a fast-paced environment.
