Responsibilities
- Manage Shipping Operations: Oversee the end-to-end shipping process, including scheduling pickups, coordinating deliveries, and ensuring timely arrival of goods.
- Documentation & Compliance: Prepare and verify shipping documents, including bills of lading, commercial invoices, and customs forms, ensuring strict adherence to regulations.
- Carrier Communication: Liaise with third-party logistics providers and freight carriers to resolve issues, negotiate rates, and track shipments in real-time.
- Inventory Coordination: Collaborate with the warehouse team to ensure accurate inventory levels are maintained before dispatch.
- Problem Solving: Proactively identify potential shipping delays and implement effective solutions to minimize disruption.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in shipping, logistics, or supply chain management.
- Organization: Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
- Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and ERP software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar).
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of interacting with diverse stakeholders.
- Attention to Detail: A keen eye for detail to ensure accuracy in all paperwork and tracking data.
