Responsibilities
- Manage Inbound & Outbound Shipments: Coordinate with carriers to schedule pickups and deliveries, ensuring all documentation is accurate and compliant.
- Track Inventory Movement: Monitor shipment status in real-time, proactively identifying and resolving delays.
- Vendor Communication: Act as the primary point of contact for freight forwarders, trucking companies, and warehouse staff.
- Data Management: Maintain precise records in our ERP system, updating tracking numbers and delivery logs.
- Problem Resolution: Investigate and resolve shipping discrepancies, claims, and damage reports efficiently.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all shipping activities adhere to local, state, and federal regulations.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Logistics or Supply Chain preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in logistics, freight forwarding, or supply chain coordination.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with transportation management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Manhattan Associates) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills; bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus.
- Problem Solving: Ability to remain calm under pressure and make quick decisions regarding shipping routes and carrier selection.
