Responsibilities
- Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments to ensure timely delivery and accurate documentation.
- Prepare and process shipping documents, including bills of lading, commercial invoices, and packing lists.
- Communicate effectively with carriers, vendors, and internal departments to resolve shipping discrepancies and delays.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all shipping activities, tracking logs, and inventory levels.
- Monitor shipping costs and identify opportunities for process improvement and cost savings.
- Assist in the loading and unloading of freight and ensure warehouse safety standards are met.
- Resolve customer inquiries regarding shipment status and delivery issues promptly.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Logistics or Supply Chain is a plus.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in logistics, freight forwarding, or supply chain management.
- Proficiency with transportation management software (e.g., Oracle, Prophets, Manhattan) is highly preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Basic computer literacy and data entry skills.
