Responsibilities
- Manage Shipping Operations: Coordinate inbound and outbound freight, ensuring all shipments are processed accurately and on time.
- Vendor Management: Liaise with carriers, freight forwarders, and third-party logistics providers to negotiate rates and resolve delivery issues.
- Documentation: Prepare and verify shipping documents, including bills of lading, invoices, and customs paperwork.
- Inventory Control: Monitor stock levels and update our Warehouse Management System (WMS) in real-time.
- Problem Resolution: Investigate and resolve shipping discrepancies, damages, or delays immediately.
- Compliance: Ensure all shipping activities comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum 1-3 years of experience in shipping, logistics, or supply chain coordination.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Supply Chain Management is a plus.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) or WMS software is highly preferred.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with diverse stakeholders.
- Attention to Detail: Strong ability to manage paperwork, data entry, and tracking numbers with zero errors.
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and stand for extended periods in a warehouse setting.
